Dr. Aran Ron is a physician executive with more than 25 years of healthcare experience in senior leadership roles in hospitals and health plans, venture capital, benefits management and strategic consulting. His functional background includes providing direct medical care as an internal medicine physician, medical management and education, health plan strategy and operations, quality, utilization and disease management, clinical policy, contracting, new venture development and advising, investment management, as well as senior-level executive search and strategic consulting. Dr. Ron is well-known in healthcare for his ability to clinically integrate organizations; increase profitability and quality; and create strategic partnerships, new ventures and innovative programs.

As physician partner with Meyer Consulting, Dr. Ron provides clients with executive search, clinical integration and innovation, strategic partnership development, and contracting consulting services. His expertise in accountable care has enabled clients to prepare for the uncertain future of healthcare in the current market. Dr. Ron contributes to Meyer Consulting by recruiting best-in-class senior executives, advising on clinical and operational initiatives, and development of new ventures and partnerships.


Dr. Ron served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Group Health Incorporated (GHI), a $3 billion health plan, prior to their merger with HIP Health Plans that formed Emblem Health Plans. After the merger, he became Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Emblem, the $8 billion merged entity. Prior, Dr. Ron held physician leadership roles within Oxford Health Plans, New York Downtown Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center. His experience also includes serving as operating partner for Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital firm with over $3 billion in assets and investments.
